High school: Graduated early from North Platte High School ... second-team Super State quarterback ... as a senior, completed 129 of 258 passes for 1,481 yards and 13 touchdowns ... as a junior, tied Nebraska high school records for completions in a season (166) and completions in a game (24) ... also played basketball and baseball and competed on the track team.
