THE SERIES
Idaho holds a dominant edge in the series with the Hornets, which dates back to 1968. In 15 meetings, the Vandals have won 14 times. Sacramento State's lone victory against Idaho came on Dec. 8, 1972, when the Hornets won 77-65, at Moscow. Idaho has won the last 12 meetings, including a 72-58 victory last year at Sacramento State.

THE HORNETS
The Hornets are 3-2 on the year after upsetting Oregon State on the road last weekend. Sacramento State already has eclipsed its 2008-09 win total of two. The Hornets have also beaten Houston Baptist and Bethany this year, while taking losses to Rice and South Alabama.

Sacramento State averages 66.8 points per game, while allowing 69.8. They shoot .424 as a team from the field, while opponents are shooting .435. They hit .344 of their 3-point attempts and .708 of their free throws.

Junior guard Sultan Toles-Bey and freshman guard/forward John Dickson lead the team with 11.2 points per game each. Toles-Bey is second on the team with 3.6 assists per game, while Dickson leads the team with nine blocked shots. Senior forward Michael Selling is the team's leading rebounder at 6.4 per game, while also hitting .583 from the field.

FUN FACTS
Sacramento State is outscoring its opponents by a 36.6-30.0 average in the first half, but is being outscored by a 39.8-30.2 margin in the second half so far this season.

Sacramento State head coach Brian Katz was inducted to the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame last year.
